¡Buceo increíble con Rafa la semana pasada! Completé 10 inmersiones, que comenzaron siendo relativamente fáciles, progresando hasta los 40 m con una desafiante inmersión en cueva y ¡explorando los scooters subacuáticos!
Empezamos a planificar el viaje hace unos meses por correo electrónico, y a mi llegada, pasé tiempo con Rafa y Clara ajustando el viaje para que pudiera probar un sistema de doble botella (había empezado a bucear con sidemount en casa, pero nunca había probado un sistema de doble botella, así que fue una gran experiencia, sobre todo porque Rafa me involucró y me guió en la reconfiguración de los reguladores para esta configuración). Como no había usado este sistema antes, dedicamos tiempo a hacer una revisión de lastre y trimado en la piscina del hotel antes de salir al mar.
Tanto Rafa como Clara son extremadamente expertos y atentos, y elaboraron un plan que me permitió divertirme, a la vez que me sentía más cómodo con un sistema técnico y un reto para mí. Entre inmersiones, Rafa se tomó el tiempo de explicarme los factores de gradiente, la planificación y teoría de la descompresión y la planificación de gases, ¡lo cual fue increíble porque todavía estoy intentando entenderlo!
Fue la primera vez que probé los scooters subacuáticos, ¡y fue genial! Logramos cubrir muchísima distancia, sobre todo en un par de salidas con corrientes fuertes… ¡Fue divertido ver a otros buceadores aleteando como locos para llegar a algún sitio mientras nosotros nos desplazábamos con facilidad!
Ya estoy pensando en mi próximo viaje y quiero avanzar en mi formación antes (especialmente en la planificación avanzada de la descompresión, que quiero empezar cuanto antes), porque incluso con todas las inmersiones que Rafa me hizo hacer, ¡sé que hay mucho más por explorar en mi próxima visita!
Gracias de nuevo a Rafa y Clara; dos personas encantadoras y con muchísimos conocimientos que se preocupan por el buceo y quieren ofrecer a sus clientes la mejor experiencia posible, en lugar de solo ganar dinero fácil.

We come from different worlds, but we all ended up at the same point: the sea of Lanzarote. At some moment we decided to leave our careers to do what we're truly passionate about: diving and sharing it with others. Today we're a team of certified diving instructors and guides who put all our experience at the service of every person who wants to discover Lanzarote's ocean with us.
Rafael Benet
Pilot, hotelier and entrepreneur, a few years ago I decided that my profession would be sharing diving. I'm passionate about overhead environments and decompression theory.
The concept of a diving studio comes from the way I understand this work: personalised, made to measure and unhurried. Teaching diving is a craftsman's job, not a factory's.
Clara López
I'm a medical researcher by training, although I became a diving instructor while still studying. I've combined diving with environmental conservation projects and research in aquatic environments, travelling the world.
I'm passionate about nature, art, different people and cultures, and diving that challenges me. At Liquid Planet I found the place where all of that makes sense at once.
